I’m the author of Tender Points, a work of lyric nonfiction about chronic pain and the trauma of sexual assault. It’s the sort of book that gets featured in The Rumpus’s roundup of What to Read When Our Country Is Ruled By Sexual Predators, a fantastic list that should not have to exist.
I live in San Francisco, where I’m working on my second book, a novel that takes on themes similar to those explored in Tender Points but from a very different angle. A brief excerpt appears in a special issue 580 Split that presents writing by facilitators of Mills Oakland Writers Workshops.
My writing on feminism, medical sexism, Jewish identity, and other topics has appeared in places like Bitch, McSweeney’s, and Wolfman New Life Quarterly.
I’m also a copywriter, so I am pretty much always writing.
